A special banquet Friday honored five high school students who are winners of the Bryan J. Miller essay contest. Entrants wrote about a silent hero, somebody who is not famous but left an imprint.
The response to the Silent Spring Essay Contest, offered in partnership with Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge, was overwhelmingly positive.A total of 24 schools and 257 seventh grade students across the state participated. The deadline for submission was December 1, and the Reserve's Education Advisory Committee immediately got to work reading and scoring each essay.

Silent Spring Essay Contest Fifty years ago, the world was rocked by the publication of a quiet tirade against the chemical industry. Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring exposed the dangers and risks of everyday chemicals and commonplace practices; it launched.
For the most liked features, they seemed to be largely focused on the main gameplay, with active skills, artifacts, and heroes taking the forefront. Overall, I hope that this gives both us and Game Hive some visibility into what the community wants overall, and we can try to focus our suggestions to get these less enjoyed features fixed.
